American FINESSE oak (species Quercus Albar). Wood from different places, especially selected following testing by our research department with wine ageing. This type of barrel has been sold since 1987. It is very different from classic American oak and its content in aromatic aldehydes (exotic and vanilla aromas) is significantly lower, thereby contributing with finer, more delicate aromas for longer periods. Optimal ageing periods: between eight and ten months with the same type of wine.
Its different texture allows for excellent ageing and ensures that wines will have great extraction of polysaccharides, tannins, etc., giving the wine greater tannic structure, great volume, grease and natural richness.
