Split French ALLIER oak (species Quercus Sensiliflora). Wood from the forests of Allier and Tronçais, with a very closed structure (extra fine grain selection). It is the most recommended wood for top quality red and white wines. It empowers and enriches wines during slow ageing while maintaining varietal traits and providing fresh, persistent finishes and aromas of great elegance and personality.

French oak usually has less aromatic aldehydes (vanilla aromas) while other spicier, dryer, more serious aromas make a discrete appearance. Optimal ageing periods: between eight and ten months with the same type of wine.
